Our Discipleship Pathway

We believe that we are called to be disciples of Jesus Christ that transform the world. God grows us when we intentionally Worship, Serve, Pray, Witness, and Give. When we are intentional in growing in these ways, we are not only following Jesus, but we are becoming more like him. We call this The Discipleship Pathway.
You will notice that even this website reflects this Discipleship Pathway. We have pages titled Worship, Learn, Serve, and Give. Worship and Serve correspond to the ministries with their same titles. Learn is a page focused on the green 'Prayer' and Give provides an opportunity to live into 'Generosity.' Our website as a whole is one of the ways we Witness and invite others into the discipleship of Jesus.
The United Methodist Church grew out of a movement of small group meetings. These meetings were an incubator for new Christians excited to grow in their faith. Small groups are still an essential part of being Methodist today. Below you will find small groups ready to help you learn and grow on your discipleship journey.

Hot Faith InterviewsIn 2023, our Youth Sunday School was all about sharing our faith stories. Adults from our congregation came in and shared their faith in a "Hot Ones" style of interview. The kids took up the challenge, too. These interviews were all shared on YouTube. Click on the button below to check them out. Sharing our faith stories is one of the five crucial ways we grow as disciples at LaGrange UMC. We call it "Witness" in our Discipleship Pathway. How do you share your faith story?
