Youth Summer Trip

This summer, instead of a work trip, our youth are going on a learning trip. They will be learning at one the UMC's General Agencies. Church and Society leads and challenges United Methodists to pray, study and work in areas of social concern. Its resources inform, motivate and train United Methodists on issues of social justice in the society.

Working from its headquarters in the only non-governmental building on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., the General Board of Church and Society uses Scripture, The Social Principles and The Book of Resolutions as its core documents.

We always need more volunteers to help with Lighthouse. Please connect with us if you can help with a meal or join us for Kids Club...or have another way you can help!

Meet the Bus

Every Tuesday, we meet the kids who get off the bus at our parking lot with a healthy snack. Just another way we let our community know we care about them.

On Wednesdays, we meet the kids in our Lighthouse community with a snack.

Blood Drives

Every other month we host a blood drive in connection with the American Red Cross in our fellowship hall. Church volunteers roll out extravagant hospitality as they check people in and provide sandwiches and other refreshments.

This event helps our community come together to literally save lives!

In July 2024, we welcomed in volunteers from Lakeland High School's Student Diversity and Inclusion Club. Through Red Cross's Community Club program, they raised $680 for their club! This was a success in large part because of the dedication and support of our church to the Red Cross and the Diversity Club. Thank you to our regular blood drive volunteers and to our regular diversity club volunteers for making this possible.

Youth Arts Festival

This annual event is organized and led by youth. Youth artists display their artwork all day long, with some selling art for you to take home. Youth also perform music all day long, ending with Karoake. There are also Concessions for you to pick up.  In 2025, we also featured a Lakeland Jr/Sr High Art Show as part of the festival. Come support talented teens in our community!

Lagrange Trick or Treat

Each Year, we head outside to join in the fun of Trick or Treat. We hand out fresh-popped popcorn, hotdogs and candy at our main door in the parking lot. We love to share our parking lot and see everyone's costumes...and we love to dress up along with the kids!
